Watch "The Clone Wars" You Must!

I'm surprised there aren't more blogs about The Clone Wars series. I'm really enjoying it. Season One was good, but Season Two has just been awesome so far.

Some people think it's just for kids, but it's not. There's something there for everyone! And it's Star Wars! We can't have too much of that!

It really bothers me how they go weeks without an episode, though. I've heard the blame is on Cartoon Network for that so let me just say to them: "YOU STINK!" if that's true.

However, during this current hiatus, I've rewatched a couple of episodes... thank the Force for the invention of the DVR... and upon a second or third viewing the amount of detail in this series really comes to life.

A steering wheel aboard a starliner. Seeing the terminator line and a partial nightside view of Coruscant. R2-D2 snickering. Little things that make it so much more than an ordinary cartoon!

Another thing that strikes me is the portrayal of Anakin Skywalker. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I don't like Anakin. He was the biggest disappointment of the PT for me.

I always pictured Anakin as someone heroic, not the whiny, emotionally weak boy we saw in the PT.

And I have to admit; TCW Anakin is more to my liking. He's a hero, brave and fearless. And the relationship between him and Obi-Wan is priceless!

His fall become more tragic when we can view him as a hero and not a victim.

As an Obi-Wan fan I have to say that TCW Obi-Wan is adorable. That dry sense of humor is blossoming. He's really enjoying Anakin's struggles with Ashoka, and you can sense his satisfaction at his former Padawan getting his due!

James Arnold Taylor does a great job of voicing Obi-Wan.

Their friendship has really deepened, too and this really makes Obi-Wan's heartbreak at the end of ROTS all that more bitter.

I even like the portrayal of the Clones... What is the galaxy coming to...

:^O

I'm surprised there's not more said about the Clone Wars TV show on here, too. It's a very well-made show, and you're right, it certainly can appeal to all ages. And I'm sure jazzed about how many young kids are super into it--Star Wars really is Forever.

I hadn't heard much about why the delays are going on, but I agree, it's been weird.

I hate to admit it too, but the bucket heads are fun to watch in TCW. Some of them are smart and some not so smart, which it makes for great fun!!

I agree, season 2 ROCKS. And I'm glad David F. and company changed the tone of TCW.

As far as no one blogging about it...most likely due to the fact that the younglings following TCW are not old enough to blog on here...LOL. :^O

As for me? I have no excuses, except the lack of time to sit down and write a blog with my busy schedule. And you know how busy that is...LOL

Whhhhhiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnneeeee-akin...LMAO

He's still a big disappointment, especially since he's the father of the most powerful Jedi and political figure in the GFFA.

clicky-clicky on the pppppppuuuuuurrrrrrrtttttttyyyyyyy blog linky...LMAO

Obviously they were raised by good people and not Anakin... a good argument in the "nature vs. nurture" debate...

Whhhhhiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnneeeee-akin...LMAO

Waaaaaanakin.... well, he's still a weenie, but he's less of one than he was in the movies. He was really good in "Voyage of Temptation"

The writers are just FANTASTIC! I know they have to follow direction, but the dialogue is great! Loving Obi-Wan's "squeeze" Satine!

I have to say that TCW Obi-Wan is adorable hee hee! Is it weird to be in love with a cartoon character? ;)

Not much weirder than being in love with a fictional character to start with!

Me too! I wonder if that's because it's just too good for words. :p Unfortunately, when there is a TCW blog, it's usually griping about continuity or canon or some other related crap.

I'm really enjoying it. Season One was good, but Season Two has just been awesome so far.

Fantastic is the word! Fan-freakin'-tastic!!!

Some people think it's just for kids, but it's not.

No, definitely not. On the couch every Friday at 1200 hours, four people (and a dog), all with varying ages (even the dog, in both human and dog years), enjoy the same show for different reasons. You can't say that about Ben 10: Alien Force, or whatever that show is that comes on right before TCW. :^O

I've heard the blame is on Cartoon Network for that

It is, to be sure. And that's a sad thing. They keep moving TCW around because they know they won't lose viewers, but keep other programs stagnant.

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I don't like Anakin.

"Don't like" Anakin? That's the understatement of the century. :^O

He was the biggest disappointment of the PT for me.

I don't know, to me, Padme is worse. And she's bogging TCW down, just as she bogged down the PT. Anakin may even have been a more likeable character if not for Padme. And while Padme's character wasn't all that strong to begin with, it was made worse by Natalie Portman's failure to act properly.

And I have to admit; TCW Anakin is more to my liking. He's a hero, brave and fearless. And the relationship between him and Obi-Wan is priceless!

And between Anakin and Ahsoka! That's partly what I'm liking so much about Clone Wars Gambit: Stealth, too. Which is an awesome book! :D

James Arnold Taylor does a great job of voicing Obi-Wan.

He's almost a better Obi-Wan than Ewan McGregor. :p Did you know he was also Jack Sparrow in the video game, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End? It's a small world after all. ;)

It's insane, I love the portrayal of the clones, but even more than that...the Mandos! I wish the Mando arc would've lasted forever. That's insanity in and of itself. :^O

As for me? I have no excuses, except the lack of time to sit down and write a blog with my busy schedule. And you know how busy that is...LOL

I accept no excuses from you, Grand Master! :p

Not much weirder than being in love with a fictional character to start with!

That's not weird. That's perfectly normal. :x

I don't know, to me, Padme is worse.

I had no expectations for Padme in the PT... I just always thought Anakin had a wife... but after 20+ years of DV being such a villian, I didn't expect a crybaby in Anakin...

And between Anakin and Ahsoka!

And Obi-Wan's amusement at that situation...lol

I accept no excuses from you, Grand Master!

I do, being Grand Master isn't easy! Especially with apprentices like us... LMAO

I didn't have any expectations at all, so I just hate both of them. :p

I admit that I've fallen behind in my viewing - I'm glad that Hubby's been recording them for me. After reading the recent blogs about Duchess Satine and the bucket heads, I've definitely got to catch up!

They keep moving TCW around because they know they won't lose viewers, but keep other programs stagnant.

I suspect that to be the case also which is really quite annoying. Brief hiatuses from original episodes happen to most programs, but the inconsistency is a bit maddening.

That said, it's hard to not to have a blast with the show. They started strong in Season One and the quality has still improved by leaps and bounds in Season Two. I'm always excited to see what they have in store next!

We've been enjoying TCW immensely! :) All those behind it have done an outstanding job! :)

And I'm with you, gl. . .Anakin's character, and his relationship with Obi-wan are fleshed out more, and we get a real sense of what it's going to be like when he and Obi-wan face each other at the end of ROTS. (And I really like the clones, too. :))

MTFBWY :)
