All my exes live in Hyperspace...
Well, that's not exactly true. It would be more accurate to say that all my friends are ex-Hyperspacers... and soon we all will be.
Most of the friends I have now I met through Hyperspace, through these very blogs, in fact. Back in the heyday of blogging, this was my first stop every time I logged onto the Internet. There were always new blogs up to read, to comment on, to laugh at, get mad at, to cry at...
We shared all sorts of things; from the personal to the amusing to the mundane... we shared our love of the saga along with our disagreements...
Together we celebrated C-IV! A whole day of the convention just for Hyperspace members. I felt so special wearing that red lanyard (yeah, I'm a geek)...
But, sadly, most of the bloggers I met at that monumental Meet 'n Greet party that night are no longer members here. Sure, I have other ways of keeping in touch with them, but it's just not the same.
The salad days are over.

That's not accurate, either. Master Mina's not an ex yet! And round those answers off at the tenth decimal point. And use radians, not degrees. And leave pi in its pure form. And box those solution sets! Force help me, I'm turning into a math teacher. ;)

What was more fun? Laughing? Crying? Getting mad? I don't know. It was all fun. It was great. It was awesome. It was one hell of a time, if you pardon the language of a pirate. ;) I don't know about you, but I learned a lot from the whole thing, too. About Star Wars, about people, about the Internet...about myself? I usually hate saying that, but I think it's probably pretty true.
The salad days are over.
But salad's only the first course, an entrée, a sample of what's to come! The main course is always the longest and most enjoyable part of the meal. And the whole thing's just a precursor to dessert.
I'm still here, you mad badger.
Me too, even if I'm only half here, and only when I feel needed. :p

Captain Jack realized, after turning his computer off, that he proved, once again, how much of an idiot he can be. Hors d'?uvres come before entrées, as every good Food Network geek should know. :^O But I was too tired to do anything about it last night, and I just decided to let everybody see me make a fool out of myself, and see if anybody would catch it. :p

It has been sad to see activity on these boards dry up... the only consolation is that the fanbase itself isn't disappearing, only morphing and evolving into a new, younger generation of fans. And I can live with that.

I am determined to stay right here until the very bitter end!!! :)
I suppose this means I had better get my (*ahem*) tail in gear and write all those blogs that have been swimming around in the back of my mind. The list keeps getting longer and longer and longer.
Not that I expect the lazy days of summer to be that (lazy!), but it will be the perfect time (I hope B-)) to do some serious writing!
