Video games say the darndest things!
"You cannot saber hit while swimming." Well, why the heck not? The snake that was attacking me was swimming!
I've gotten some silly in-game messages while playing Star Wars Galaxies, but that is not the silliest by a long shot.
How about this: 'It doesn't look like the corpse is going to respond." DUH!
Or another old favorite, "You cannot do that in your current condition" followed by "You cannot call a companion while dead." I'm betting I can't saber hit while dead, either. Or respond.
I think the all time goofiest message was telling me that I'd depleted a resource, and it was solar energy on Tatooine. LMAO
Make me wonder if Stooge is secretly writing these.

Before we go any further, I have to say...
Darth Sion: "You seek to erode my will. You will not succeed."
Message: [You have eroded Sion's will. Reducing his Will saves Constitution and Wisdom.]
First time I saw that, I just about exploded. There was all this great, epic dialogue in a cutscene between your character and Darth Sion, and all of a sudden this little box pops up saying, "You've eroded his will. Do not pass go. Do not collect 200 dollars." :_|

Acutually, some lightsabers, like Kit Fisto's, Kyle Katarn's, and Jaden Korr's, can work under water. In the game Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Jaden's saber slices up Dark Jedi wannabes just as well as it does on land. B-)

Hilarious! Video games make me laugh a lot. A few days ago I was playing Halo 3 and this Elite just randomly says, "Don't eat that donut!" It took a second or two for what he had said to regester in my brain. I double proofed it to make sure I hadn't heard wrong, I hadn't. It was funny!
Oh, and Viridian Saber, the Sion example is great! :^O

One of these days I'm going to have to play Galaxies, GL. I keep threatening, but have yet to set up an account. The witty dialog alone should be enough to reel me in. :D
